C7 Corvette Coupe/Z06 Corner Sub Box

***Our production time is around business days at this moment***

We just finished up our first C7 Corner Sub Box! This will be for the Driver side only. We utilize the cubby compartment for air space and the Sub Box simply slides into place. All that needs to be done to install is to remove the cubby door.

The VetteNuts fiberglass subwoofer boxes hold a variety of subwoofers, and we built these to optimally work with the JL Audio 10W3V3 subwoofers in depth and cubic feet. They are available for 10" subs.  We were able to make it a little larger than our C5/6 boxes, going from to Cf air space. The JL10W3V3 (what we recommend) hits hard and sounds incredible. We used the existing sub out put wire and used a PAC harness to convert a RCA output for the amp. This allows you to use all your factory audio and makes for a plug and play install. We installed the bass knob on the knee bolster right below the hatch release. The carpet is not an exact match and we are actively looking for a flex form carpet that will match. None of my carpet vendors has anything at this time. The black carpet we used is really close and the lighting from the picture makes the color match worse than it is. The customer of this C7 was very pleased with the carpet match and the sound!

Feel free to call us at for JL Audio pricing or if you have any questions. Like all of our other products we make, these are made in house to our critical quality control standards, so you are sure to always get a quality product you can be proud of for many years to come!

***We recommend a 4ohm Subwoofer***

We are also releasing a C7 Partition, VetteBin and Premium Insulation Kit.

***NOTE: Production times vary depending on sales events and product demand. Please estimate business days for your box to be completed. Feel free to call or email us if you need a more specific delivery date and we will be happy to let you know when to expect your item.***

Corvette JL Audio Stealthbox and Amp Install

Thread: S6 C Amplifier, sub-woofer and audio control install

After few hours of work i finished my first sub-woofer installation project, few weeks ago i was clueless what i needed to buy but after extensive research i taught myself everything i need to know. Now, i want to put everything together so it will be easier for all off you to do the same and save mad $$$.

First you need a sub: I bought two Pioneer TSWD4 because few months back i had one in my S4 and it worked great, even with the stock amp. Unfortunate the OEM BOSE amp in my S6 was not able power my new sub woofer and I had to start all my research.
Second you will need an amplifier (duh). I dint know that at first but yes, you need one because OEM amplifier sucks. I went with Pioneer GM-D because of three reasons:

1. The amp was cheap :)
2. it was pioneer (just like my sub woofers)
3. it was able to run 1 ohm resistance

if you don't know what ohms are, well that makes two of us but after watching many you tube videos i realized that ohm are quite important. because, most sub woofers can run at 1, 2, 4, 8 ohm but you will be loosing power if your ohm rating is high.

Example: My amplifier can put out RMS power at 1 ohm but it will only do RMS at 2 ohms. More resistance means less output to your sub woofer. Since i bought DVC (dual voice coil) sub woofer, those subs make easier to set them up when it comes to resistance.
This website explains how to wire subs so you can get lower resistance or to match you amplifier. https://www.crutchfield.com/S-qpl64Nrs_wiring.html

After you buy your dream sub woofer and matching amplifier, you will need a LC2i and sub woofer/amplifier wiring kit.
LC2i lets you keep your OEM sub woofer control through MMI and wiring kit (that obvious) lets you connect everything together.

How to connect everything:
1. Disconnect your sub woofer from rear deck, splice wires. You will have L/R sub woofer wire and ground.
2. Connect L/R and ground to LC2i
3. Connect RGB from LC2i to your amp. L/R output to L/R input
4. Connect remote out from LC2i to remote in, in your amplifier (by doing this your LC2i will send a signal to your amp when you start your car to turn on and when you open your door while leaving to turn off)
5. Connect power and ground to your amp. This is very simple on C because our battery is in the trunk.
6. LC2i does require power, connect 16 gauge wire from LC2i to your amp. (it is fine, i know, huge 6 gauge cable going to your amp with a little 16 gauge piggy back riding power.) (IT IS FINE) LC2i doesn't pull a lot of power.
7. Connect L/R output from your amp to your sub woofers.

And That's it. $ saved.
