local agricultural products and bringing our community together has remained. We

invite you to visit our 110 acres of fair grounds. We have been home to numerous events

including the Red Bluff Round-Up and the Bull and Gelding Sale for decades. We are a

RED BLUFF — After a year of not having a fair, the four-day Tehama District Fair is returning to Red Bluff while aiming for as much normalcy as possible.

Rides have begun popping up around the fairgrounds, creating towering, colorful structures visible from Antelope Boulevard.

For some time in the planning process, it was uncertain whether or not rides would make a return, but with the blessing of Tehama County Public Health, both rides and food vendors are slotted for the event.

The fair will kick off Thursday with slack for college rodeo at 10 a.m. The carnival will open at 4 p.m. for attendees who want to check out the rides and vendors. Opening ceremonies start at 5 p.m. followed by Miss Tehama County and Little Miss at the Midway Stage at 5:30 p.m. Chad Bushnell will perform at the Midway Stage at 7 p.m.

Another throwback will be the return of the Friday night concert. This year, pop-country artist Niko Moon will take the Arena Stage at 8:30 p.m. Opening for Moon will be Nashville band Leaving Austin at 7:30 p.m. Rodeo Clown Robbie Hodges will perform on the Midway Stage at 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the carnival opens at noon, with the Junior Livestock Auction beginning at 9 a.m. Reno country act Huckleberry Road will perform on the Midway Stage at 5 and 8 p.m. with the College Rodeo filling the time block between.

The carnival opens at noon again on Sunday with the Diaper Derby at 2 p.m. and the Destruction Derby at the Main Grandstands at 6 p.m. Huckleberry Road will return for intermittent performances.

Masks and social distancing will be required of fair visitors and masks will be handed out at the gates.

The crafts competition that normally takes place indoors won’t be held due to the pandemic. All other events will be outside.

Tickets can be purchased at the fairground office. A one-day pass is $10 for an adult and $5 for a child. Four-day passes cost $25 per adult and $15 per child. A parking pass for a single day will cost $5 and $20 for a four-day pass.

Rather than having a senior discount day this year, fair admission will be free on Thursday.

The fairgrounds are at 650 Antelope Blvd. in Red Bluff.
