Wie weet, misschien blijkt die kleine Italiaan wel grotendeels uit Oost-Europa te komen.

Maar begrijp ons niet verkeerd. We doen ons uiterste best om de complete achtergrond van een voertuig door te lichten, maar de achtergrond van de vorige eigenaren houden we er buiten. De meldingen in onze databank hebben op geen enkele wijze betrekking op personen. We richten ons uitsluitend op de gebruikte auto en zijn kilometerstand, mogelijke verdekte ongevallen, waar de auto vandaan komt en nog véél meer. Soms vinden we ook niks. En dat is alleen maar mooi, toch?

Waarom is uitgerekend vóór de aankoop de voertuighistorie zo belangrijk? Het is een feit dat er meer gebruikte auto's dan nieuwe auto's worden verkocht. Deze vorm van hergebruik kunnen we natuurlijk alleen maar anmoedigen. Maar daardoor ontstaan natuurlijk ook in de markt gangbare methoden en tactieken om schadewagens in goud om te toveren, de kilometerstand te manipuleren of andere dingen zoals de herkomst of zelfs diefstal te maskeren. Het zijn allemaal onvermijdelijke nadelen van een vrije markt in occasions. Wij vinden, dat je nieuwe tweedehands auto je juist een gevoel van zekerheid zou moeten geven. Daarom is ons doel, dat jij je bij het kopen van je auto goed voelt en dat je niet het gevoel krijgt, dat je teveel voor je nieuwe levensgezel hebt betaald.

Toch willen wij vooral dat je niet onbewust aan het stuur van een risicowagen komt te zitten. Wij helpen dagelijks om dit soort wagens letterlijk uit de roulatie te halen. Zo maken we niet alleen de markt van tweedehands auto's, maar uiteindelijk ook onze straten veiliger.

CARFAX - MEER DAN 35 JAAR ERVARING MET KENTEKENCHECKS

CARFAX is in 1984 in de Verenigde Staten opgericht en maakte in 2007 de stap naar Europa. Momenteel werken 100 medewerkers bij zes Europese filialen om meldingen uit het leven van tweedehands auto's uit meer dan 20 landen te verwerken.

Door langdurige samenwerkingen met toezichthouders, handhaving, ministeries, verzekeringsmaatschappijen, taxateurs, automotive partijen en andere toonaangevende organisaties zijn wij in staat om een unieke internationale databank voor tweedehands auto's op te bouwen. Met meer dan 25 miljard meldingen is deze tot nu toe de grootste databank van voertuighistorie wereldwijd. En elke dag komen er meer meldingen bij. We gebruiken deze databank als basis voor een aantal slimme voertuighistorie-applicaties, zoals bijvoorbeeld ons uitgebreide voertuighistorierapport. Zo maken wij de occasion-markt transparanter.

Ondanks deze nauwe samenwerking met instanties en bedrijven zijn wij neutraal en onafhankelijk. Want uiteindelijk is ons doel, onze klanten zoveel mogelijk voorlichting en veiligheid te bieden. Dissatisfied with service and "warranty work". I bought a pre-owned 2015 Escalade from North Park Chevrolet in September. After the test drive, I was interested in purchasing but had a couple of concerns. I was told "no worries" by the finance manager: there's a 90-day warranty that will cover (at no cost to me) whatever goes wrong. "Just bring it on in." Well, on the test drive, there was a noticeable clunk underneath and the touch-screen stereo/nav screen did not work and would even change channels and set destination points on its own. After purchasing the SUV, I returned three weeks later to have the issues repaired. The service department had my truck for 1.5 weeks (they did provide me with a small loaner car). I was told they did a "reboot" on my radio and replaced a motor mount to eliminate the clunk. As I drove the car home, the radio acted up on the way home again, and the engine still had the clunk. When I called back to report this to the dealership, I was told that "Management has said they have done all the repairs they will do on that truck, thank you for your purchase". WHAT?!? Very disappointing. Won't ever buy another car here.

    This was a completely different experience. We were greeted by Jeremy the sales manager who took an interest in us and then handed us over to Justin our sales associate. He took us on a test drive, explained the features of the vehicle, made sure we had answers to all our questions.
    He made the buying process quick, simple and enjoyable. How many times can you say that about buying a car?
    Everyone at the dealership was friendly and helpful. Our new car is fantastic and even though it's a 25 minute drive for us this is where we will be taking the car for servicing in the future.
    I definitely recommend them.

  • I would like to start this review by saying this is the WORST dealership/service department I have ever had to deal with. Initially, I purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited from this dealership in April 2020; keep in mind I HAVE NOT EVEN HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR 1 YEAR before issues occurred in copious amounts.

    I would never recommend this place to anyone, even if you were my worst enemy.  I am now left with a used Jeep that I paid $30,000+ for that has so many cosmetic issues as well as plentiful mechanical issues, that this dealership cannot seem to solve. Instead they give me the runaround and are fantastic at coming up with any excuse they can. The problems are never solved.

    To begin, I am 22 and I live about 2 hours away from this dealership so distance is an issue. In April 2020 the sales man assigned to me was Joe Cooks. I traded in my 2007 Hummer (with a brand new transmission that cost $4,500.00+ to install with plenty of cosmetic upgrades) yet for the trade-in value I was only offered a pitiful $3,000.00. Nonetheless, I decided to purchase the Jeep regardless and Mr. Cooks stated that he had a daughter around my age, and assured me he would always look out for my best interest. Yet, on the contrary 3 WEEKS LATER issues already began to occur with the Jeep. I then attempted to contact Mr. Cooks via telephone 4+ times; whereupon, I left numerous voicemails and my CALLS WERE NEVER RETURNED. In addition, I drove to the dealership to try to find a resolution but Mr. Cooks was on vacation. I then decided that I could no longer trust Mr. Cooks and scheduled an appointment with the service department. Literally 3 weeks after purchasing the Jeep from the dealership, all of the headlights/fog-lights went out and I was literally driving blind. I went to the dealership, MIND YOU THE DEALERSHIP IS 2 HOURS AWAY. I took OVER 5 TRIPS within the next 6 months just in an attempt to get my headlights to work and every time there was a new excuse from service as to why the headlights wouldn't work. My car has been kept at the dealership around 2 weeks total, and I was without a car. After months of the service department simply experimenting and never actually finding the actual issues, I had to then resort to trying to find the actual problem myself. Once I took it apart I saw that the service department had never replaced any parts or actually solved the issues for my headlights. Instead, they decided it would be a great idea to just wrap all my wires in black tape. There were countless times I would had to get a ride from a friend to pick up my car, and not even hours later the same issues occurred.

    Now, MONTH 8 OF OWNING THE JEEP, my check engine light came on. I took the Jeep to the dealership, after purchasing my own tool to run a diagnostic because I knew they wouldn't be able to figure it out themselves, and informed service that cylinder 4 was misfiring. I then dropped my Jeep off and was left without a car for over a week and a half straight (due to the dealership somehow not have any available rentals). Once I dropped off the vehicle I was never updated with any news unless I called first. I was told on the first day that they would be doing a tune up which usually takes 2-4 hours to complete; yet somehow, they managed to take almost two weeks to get the job completed. Additionally, I was never called when my vehicle was ready to be picked up; the only way I found out was because I called regarding status. I then requested that the keys be left with receptionist, but the greatest part is that when I finally got to the dealership they forgot to give the keys to the receptionist!!!

    BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! The cherry on top is that not even 12 hours after having my Jeep tuned up, my check engine light came on again!!! & cylinder 4 is still misfiring!!

  • Lee P. helped my wife and I get into a 2021 Equinox. We had come from a previous dealer (different brand) that had a similar promotion. When we got there, they said they couldn't "get to" the numbers posted online. A waste of time as that is why we went in for a test drive. We called ahead to North Park Chevy Castroville and were put in contact with Lee who was very responsive and professional in setting us up with an appointment. From the previous dealer, we already had a sour taste in our mouths as well as our guards up. Lee quickly put our concerns to rest and showed us the inventory that fell under the desired promotion. It was the quickest turnaround we've ever experienced at a dealership. Lee was direct, concise, and honest. We were so happy with the process and equally happy with our vehicle.   • I went with my husband who was trading in his truck for a new lease which went fairly quick. That same day, we decided to trade in my car (just did all the paperwork first) so that I can just drop off and pick up a couple days after. Mario and the financial team made everything go smooth and were great!!

  • Wasted hours of time today on what was supposed to be an easy transaction. I worked all numbers last night with my trades, filled out the credit app and went in this morning. When I arrived the tires on the truck I was buying were original and worn out making a lot of road noise and vibrating. When I asked the salesman Steve Steven Montgomery he agreed to replace the tires, then when the buyers order came out it was priced $5000 more than the manager Raul agreed to last night. After they adjusted the price to what we had agreed upon (and was advertised for online) they retracted their agreement to replace the tires.

    This is the third time I have tried to buy there with similar experiences. Also looked at a 2020 High Country w/7k miles that was priced over new at Cavender and they wouldnt budge. If you want a fair deal, skip this place.

  • We had a deal setup, everything was supposedly set in stone. My mother was on the primary, I was cosigning. We flew from California to Texas for the car, about 750$ round trip for both of us. They ended up switching up the deal without notifying, requiring an additional $1500 down payment. They said we couldn't keep the old deal, because it only included my mother. It had to include both of us, because the car was supposed to be for me. They didn't want to budge to their original deal, so we had to spend an additional $350 on a flight. I would have taken the deal if there was a decrease in interest rate, but they didn't budge. We wasted time from work, money, money for food. We had the car already insured. Terrible. We didn't even get money for our flights.
