AT&T’s New Fast, Easy Screen Repair Option that Comes to You, Launched November 15th

Screen repair will be performed by a certified technician who will visit you at your convenience. Screen repair appointments can be made as soon as the same day a claim is approved. At launch, the screen repair option will be available in select areas and for select devices, but we are expanding to additional areas soon. You can find a list of eligible areas and devices here. 

The cracked screen repair option is automatically included with your insurance plan when you have an eligible device.  There is an $89 deductible for a cracked screen repair. The screen repair deductible may be less than the deductible for replacing the covered device or purchasing a new one. When you have a cracked screen and are eligible for a repair, you can file a claim online at phoneclaim.com/att or by calling 888.562.8552.

Customers must be enrolled in an AT&T device protection plan in order to get the screen repair service, and can enroll within 30 days of device activation or upgrade. You can enroll here.

Once the screen is repaired, there is a new 12-month warranty on the device provided by Asurion. For questions on the warranty or about screen repair, call Asurion at 888.562.8662.

*Screen repair: $89 deductible applies. Limited to eligible devices in select markets. Same-day repair appointments available between 9 a.m.–7 p.m. local time, subject to technician’s availability in applicable service area. Claim must be approved by 2 p.m. local time to be eligible for same day repair. Repairs are performed by an Asurion-certified technician and come with a 12-month warranty. Repairs may use new or refurbished parts; may contain original or non-original manufacturer parts; and may void the manufacturer warranty. Declining deductibles not applicable to screen repair and selecting screen repair option will not impact customer’s declining deductible eligibility. Some colors of eligible devices are not covered. For complete list of eligible devices and available markets, both of which are subject to change at any time.

Eligible mobile phones and tablets on an active AT&T postpaid wireless plan are covered by AT&T Protect Advantage plans and Mobile Insurance. Please use the lookup tool to view your current device’s deductible. In general, eligible devices will have the following coverage:

Phones: Includes wireless device, and, if part of the covered loss, standard battery, standard battery charger, and SIM card.

Wireless Home Phones: Includes wireless device, power cord, backup battery, phone cable, and SIM card.

Laptops (applies to AT&T Protect Advantage for 4 only): Includes wireless laptop, standard battery, and standard battery charger.

Tablets: Includes wireless device, and, if part of the covered loss, standard battery charger, and USB cable.

AT&T Protect Advantage for 4: Covers mobile devices that are connected to the AT&T wireless network and non-connected devices such as Wi-Fi® tablets or laptops. Once you select a primary device (a device connected to the AT&T wireless network with a postpaid monthly voice or data plan), you will be able to add 3 additional devices which may be either connected or non-connected. These additional 3 devices can be added at any time after your AT&T Protect Advantage for 4 enrollment.

At this time, we offer screen repair on a select list of smartphone models. As you go through the claim process, you will be offered the cracked screen repair option2 if your device is eligible.

Confirm your device is covered by one of our device protection plans.1 Not sure if it’s enrolled? Go to Insurance and warranty. Sign in and select your device. If you see Status: Insured, your wireless line’s currently enrolled in a protection plan. Select Insured to see your plan details.

Ways to file
  • Go to phoneclaim.com/att.
  • Call 888.562.8662. We’re available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET and weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET.
When you file Make sure you file your claim within 60 days of loss or damage. Have this info handy:
  • Device brand and model
  • Wireless security passcode or the last 4 digits of the AT&T account owner’s Social Security or Tax ID number

After you file
Be on the lookout for an email with a link to check your claim status. Plus, you can check when your replacement device will ship. You can also access this info by going to phoneclaim.com/att.

Get more claim-filing details

  • You won’t have to go a day without your phone. We offer same-day replacement with our AT&T Protect Advantage plan. Otherwise, in most cases, you’ll get your replacement device in 1-2 business days.2
  • Some devices qualify for cracked screen repair (available in select areas for certain devices).3 If you're eligible, you'll have the option to select screen repair during the claims process. Then, you can choose to visit a repair location or have a tech come to you. Go to phoneclaim.com/att or call us at 888.562.8662 to start a claim.
  • A non-refundable deductible applies to each claim. Check your deductible
  • The maximum value per claim is $2,500.
